So what's on your to-do list?

Because BLW isn't just for lentil-weavers. Some of us like to piddle about with bits of felt and sticky-backed plastic as well.

Funky buttons.
Beer bottle tops.
Glass beads.
Fabric and a scrap of stuffing to round them out a bit?

Ooh - I can't wait to see them. I'm thinking Father's Day.......

Cork is a nice idea - I'd guess you'd need to seal it with some kind of varnish.
TIny polished pebbles could also be cool. Or even sea shells.

my dh has plainly told me that if HE were to receive cufflinks he'd want them to be stylish, not funky, because who wears cufflinks other than to job interviews and weddings? hahaha so i better take that on board seeing as i was planning on making him a pair as well!!

fortunately eden came through for me and 'painted' a board canvas this morning so i can get them in a frame for part of the anniversary present...and hope to find something stylish to put on cufflinks!!!

Great stuff.

I've uploaded some gifts I made for a certain gorgeous new baby....

To do (soooo desperate to get back in my sewing/spare room - especially since my BIL is moving in a few weeks and will be taking with him the piles and piles of crap and furniture that is making the spare room a massive tip! I might even be able to see the floor again and use it for tracing patterns/cutting pieces!!!):

Blouse (well, a sheet muslin first, then the real deal - only have a small amount of the final fabric and don't want to screw it up)

Refashioned outfit for a hen night on a nautical theme (?!) -trying to find a charity shop striped top in navy and white which I can chop up and turn into a dress with some spare black jersey I've got - a bit like a two tone thing.

Number bean bags for Milo's birthday.

I also have a bag with pieces cut out ready to go but never seem to get round to it - I need a birthday to give me motivation to finish it for a present!

ETA: ooh, also signed up for a skirt sew-along at Kitschy-coo (because I'm secretly in love with her): http://kitschycoo.blogspot.com/2010/02/ ... ritty.html

And dagnammit if I haven't just found the solution to our un-curtainable bay windows: http://readymade.com/blogs/home-and-gar ... an-shades/

skip, can you add them to the pool too? i don;t see them there.

yippee, the second blind is up.
i think the edge is a bit....wonky is not the word. just not quite straight, but it's good enough.....

difficult to cut a 2.5m piece of fabric edge straight when the table is much smaller... :?

am i on a roll and should i attempt to recover one armchair today? i will ponder this over a cuppa tea :D

WOw Svea, nesting getting to you?

Got an armchair to tackle at some point too, at dh's request. Hmm, bit daunting! And need a LOT of fabric (though I sense a trip to ikea is in the making, mwahaha).

My pics are up there - just before TM's stencilling (which is awesome by the way!) - which also reminds me - t-shirt stencilling for a friend's birthday is also on the to do list. I'm not doing very well, am i?

well if that's nesting, i am happy. it just goes to show what you can achieve in a day without little people around.

made the pattern for the armchair - not so daunting if you can copy from the fitted fabric. old bedsheet, pen, some pins and basically tracing each fabric panel as it appears on the armchair. add a seam allowance before cutting the fabric. of course you need to figure out how best to lay the pattern pieces on the fabric (orientation of print pattern), and how to sew the pieces together, but even that is doable.

fabric this time is http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70150915 (in orange and green - one per chair so they kind of match but not quite)

if baby will wait another few days i'll get one chair done :)

made some baby legs from some old knee highs. i was given another bag of old clothes via freecycle to see if there was anything upcycleable in there - and a few gems turned out. (most of the rest to go to the charity shop, however).

PS: chairs not done yet - pattern ready but cannot be bothered at the moment, this will be done when baby is here...

Cool... love that Ikea fabric. Must justify an ikea trip soon......... ;)

Finished the gifts for my new little nephew, pics on flickr. Also finished my sew-along skirt - EXTREMELY botched. Will do better next time <raps self on knuckles for not paying closer attention to instructions and winging things>. Need to make the blouse to match and will take pics. But after driving for nearly 4 hours today I'm pooped and am going to bed very shortly!!

Still need to tackle curtains - but I might put them off for a while.
Am contemplating patchwork Roman blinds for the kitchen - but that'll be an on-going thing as I get remnants.
A car/dinosaur carry bag for a 3rd birthday pressie. Might try freezer paper stencilling!
A quilted cafetiere warmer.

That'll do for now.....
